blue bindweed

Blue bindweed, Convolvulus arvensis, also known as 'morning glory', tends to be another of nature's thugs, with it's habit of smothering plants with its large leaves, so cutting out the light and weakening them. Found throughout the world in its various forms. This attractive specimen was found growing on an embankment on the Island of Fogo, Cape Verde, in the hills beneath the volcano
